Dee Phillips moved from West Monroe, Louisiana to Beaumont, Texas in 1977 to work in the Childrens's Ministry with plans to return to her home in West Monroe after 1 year. Her love for Beaumont intensified and she has remained actively serving in various areas of the church.  She began assisting in the financial office in 1986 while working full time at AT&T as Personnel Manager. Upon retiring from the telephone company in November, 2000, she was appointed and elected by the church to serve as the official financial secretary. While this is her primary responsibility, she continues to be involved in other outreaches of The Anchor.  Her ministry has adopted the slogan of her prior employer, Bell Telephone that stated “REACH OUT AND TOUCH SOMEONE”.
